Adaptors
Delapena's dedication and commitment to the honing process and its customers is evident in the manufacture of a range of mandrel adaptors designed to be fitted to any Delapena Horizontal Honing Machine.
Wedges
All Delapena's precision mandrels above 3.05mm (0.120") are supplied complete with wedges. Wedges for all Collet located mandrels (CCS) must be ordered separately.
A complete range of blind hole wedges for all horizontal mandrels above 3.05mm (0.120") are also available on request.
Honing Stones
Precision and efficient honing is achieved by obtaining the correct balance between actual honing time and abrasive cost per component. With this in mind Delapena Honing Equipment stocks a complete range of standard and super abrasives in a wide range of grit sizes and bonds to ensure that the correct grade of stone can be used for each individual honing application.
Standard abrasives include - Silicon Carbide, Aluminium Oxide, Bauxilite, Graphite, Nylon and Cork.
Standard Delapena Honing Stones are available in grit sizes from 60 - 500.
Super abrasives include - Diamond, Cobalt Iron, Bronze, Resinoid Bond
- C.B.N Borazon, Bronze Bond, Resinoid Bond
Delapena Honing Super Abrasives are available in grit sizes from 150-800
Truing Sleeves
Delapena Honing Equipment manufactures a complete range of truing sleeves for each diameter mandrel from high grade close grained cast iron. Delapena truing sleeves are used dry to true in all new honing stones and to maintain the accuracy of stones in use. The truing sleeve is used to indicate when the stone requires dressing.
