Speedhone EM
The Delapena Speedhone EM has been designed and manufactured to deliver a competitively priced manual horizontal honing solution for the production of small to medium sized batches and prototypes. Providing a cost effective honing solution for a wide range of honing applications. In its simplest form the Speedhone EM supplies rotation and tool expansion, the oscillation of the workpiece being done by hand. Featuring a honing diameter range of 1.14mm - 79.37mm (0.45" - 3.125")
Stability is assured by the top casting design and base unit that incorporates a removable (60 litre) honing oil fluid tank. The Speedhone EM is supported by an extensive range of horizontal tooling and associated consumables, including standard single stone mandrels, keyway mandrels, multi-stone honing tools or solutions tailored to your specific honing applications.
Speedhone EA
The Delapena Speedhone EA combines the many features of the EM with the additional benefits of automation. The Speedhone EA is the ideal horizontal honing solution for high volume, batch production and applications where high stock removal rates are required. However the EA can be used as a manually operated machine for small batches and prototypes.
Fully adjustable spindle speeds, stroking speeds and stone pressure settings can facilitate the smallest mandrel or the greatest rate of stock removal. The Speedhone EA's "Stone Saver" feature allows operators to override stone expansion speed, via foot pedal, to control expansion rates and make optimum use of the honing stone.
Featuring a honing diameter range of 1.14mm - 79.37mm (0.45" - 3.125"); stroke lengths fully adjustable 0mm -155mm (0"-6").
